I've only ever tutored students one-on-one before, for about an hour at a time. Now I have a full class of 18 students coming 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. I want to know: How do I "put together" a day of instruction for them? What should I cover in a week? a month? How long should they have to come to class to achieve their goals?

As a tutor, I only see my students once a week. I worry that they perceive learning to be slow, and that they forget from session to session. I want to learn how to strengthen their learning and help them plan for more "on their own" - between sessions.

I'd like to find some ideas for managing GED instruction in large groups. I have several volunteers to assist, but I feel like I often do not get to everyone in a day. I'd like to see some alternatives to what I already do.
