Successful adult education communities understand how vital it is to keep the skills of teachers and program administrators fresh. Most teachers of adult learners work part-time, which makes it more difficult for them to take part in professional development opportunities, especially when many adult education programs are not able to pay them for their participation. Program directors need leadership and fiscal management training. This section offers resources to help adult education stakeholders develop effective professional development for both teachers and administrators.
