Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD)
International organization focusing on issues related to students with learning disabilities has local/state chapters that sponsor conferences and events around research, practice and policy. Provides information on research initiatives, legislative issues and "infosheets" on various learning disability issues. CLD also publishes an online journal, Learning Disabilities Quarterly.

International Dyslexia Association (IDA)
International nonprofit advances effective teaching approaches and intervention strategies for dyslexics through research and public policy advocacy. Hosts regional and national conferences, has an online store, and posts a bulletin board on its site.

LDOnLine
Online service provided by The Learning Project of WETA Television in Washington, D.C., and The Coordinated Campaign for Learning Disabilities offers information on a wide variety of topics related to learning disabilities. Targets children but includes some materials for adult learners. Special section gives teachers resource guidance on general issues such as classroom accommodations and inclusion as well as strategies to improve reading, spelling, oral and written language, organization and study skills, mathematics, and social skills. Finding Help section includes a resource guide that lists helpful agencies, organizations and resources available in each state.

Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA)
National nonprofit organization of volunteers includes parents, individuals with learning disabilities, and professionals in the field. LDA works to raise awareness of learning disabilities and advocates for those with learning disabilities. Site includes resources such as books on tape, links to government agencies and other organizations, publications and videos, and alerts/bulletins regarding legislative and research activities. LDA also hosts national conferences and events.

National Association for Adults with Special Learning Needs (NAASLN)
A membership organization for service providers working with individuals with special learning needs. Offers members professional development and technical assistance, information and research, networking opportunities, and links to resources. Also advocates on behalf of adults with special learning needs and promotes best practices.

National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD)
NCLD strives to increase awareness of learning disabilities, make stronger connections between research and practice, and work closely with policymakers on LD issues. Site resources include baseline information on learning disabilities, where to find help, and research-proven strategies for helping students with learning disabilities.

National Center on Workforce and Disability/Adult (NCWD/Adult)
To increase access to the workforce development system for adults with disabilities, NCWD/Adult offers workforce and disability professionals research, email alerts, training and technical assistance opportunities, and policy analysis on topics such as disabilities, accommodations, assistive technology, legal requirements and guidelines, partnerships, funding, and marketing and outreach. Also posts vignettes on individual and organizational success stories.
