It is no small challenge to manage adult education services, which are delivered in widely different ways to learners of varying ability levels, goals, and needs. Most program staff must balance many management responsibilities. These can include fundraising, overseeing grants, evaluating program effectiveness, reporting data to government agencies or private funders, recruiting and retaining adult learners, instructors, and volunteers, and sustaining community partnerships that support their work. The materials in this section offer information about these various management challenges and practical suggestions for addressing them.
